Installation Tips

Important: Ensure the engine is off and cool before checking or replacing the oil dipstick. Locate the dipstick tube in the engine bay – it typically has a yellow or orange handle. Remove the old dipstick by pulling it straight up and out. Inspect the old dipstick for damage or wear. Insert the new dipstick fully into the tube until it seats completely. Remove it again to check that the markings are clear and visible. When checking oil level, ensure the vehicle is on level ground and the engine has been off for several minutes to allow oil to drain back to the oil pan. Wipe the dipstick clean, reinsert fully, then remove and read the oil level. No tools required for installation.
