Air Spring
Air springs are widely used in vibration isolation of cars, buses, rail vehicles, machinery and equipment, and building bases. Air springs are generally made of rubber and must have good sealing and compressibility. After the compressed gas with a pressure of 0.5~1MPa is filled into the air spring, the compressibility of the gas is used to achieve its spring function. The spring stiffness is variable. When the load acting on the spring increases, the gas in the closed container is compressed, the air pressure increases, and the spring stiffness increases; conversely, when the load decreases, the air pressure in the spring decreases, and the stiffness decreases. is small, so it has ideal variable stiffness characteristics to ensure that the natural frequency of the body remains basically unchanged under different loads.

Air springs are mainly divided into two types: bladder type and membrane type. The bladder air spring is composed of a rubber air bag sandwiched with cords and compressed air sealed in it. The inner layer of the air bag is made of air-tight rubber, while the outer layer is made of oil-resistant rubber. Air bags are generally made into two sections, but there are also single or three sections. The more sections, the better the flexibility. There is a steel waist ring between the sections to prevent the middle part from radially expanding and to prevent the two sections from rubbing against each other. The upper and lower covers of the airbag seal the airbag. Bladder air springs are mostly used in trucks and special occasions.

The sealed air bag of the diaphragm air spring is composed of a rubber diaphragm and a metal pressed part. Compared with the bladder type, its elastic characteristic curve is more ideal. Because its stiffness is smaller than that of the bladder type, the natural frequency of the body is lower, and the size is smaller, making it easier to arrange. This type is often used in cars. However, it is more difficult to manufacture and has a shorter lifespan.
