Frequently Asked Questions
1. What does DDP shipping to Canada mean exactly?
DDP stands for Delivered Duty Paid. Under this shipping term, SuRigor takes full responsibility for the entire shipping journey – including China export customs, air freight, Canada import brokerage, all import duties, GST/HST taxes and final door delivery. You simply receive your goods at the destination without any additional payment or customs paperwork.
2. Do I need a Canadian business number or import license to use DDP service?
No, you do not. Under our DDP service, goods are imported under SuRigor's Canadian brokerage account. Whether you are an individual buyer, a small seller or a company without an import license, you can use our service directly – we handle all the import formalities on your behalf.
3. Which Canadian provinces and territories do you deliver to?
We provide nationwide delivery coverage across all 10 provinces and 3 territories of Canada, including Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI, Newfoundland and Labrador, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Both residential and commercial addresses are fully supported.
4. Can I ship small packages under 12 kg?
Our standard DDP air service starts from 12 kg for consolidated shipments. For smaller parcels, we offer an express courier alternative that still provides door-to-door service with duty prepayment. Contact our team for a customized solution based on your actual package weight.
5. Are there any hidden fees after I book the shipment?
Absolutely not. Our SuRigor DDP guarantee ensures that every quotation we provide is fully all-inclusive. There are no hidden surcharges, no unexpected customs fees and no last-mile extra costs. The price we quote is the final price you pay – as long as cargo details match your initial declaration.
6. How long does it take to get an accurate shipping quote?
We typically respond with a detailed, transparent quotation within 1 business hour after receiving your complete cargo information – including product name, carton count, dimensions, actual weight, China pickup address and Canadian delivery address.
7. Can you consolidate goods from multiple suppliers in China?
Yes, we offer free cargo consolidation service with 15-30 days of complimentary warehouse storage. You can ship goods from different Chinese suppliers to our warehouse, and we will combine them into one shipment to optimize your per-unit shipping cost significantly.
8. What happens if my goods are damaged or lost during transit?
Every shipment includes basic cargo insurance coverage. In case of damage or loss, our claims team will assist you through the full compensation process. For high-value goods, we also offer optional upgraded insurance at a small premium to ensure full protection of your merchandise.
