Quiet and Easy to Install Air Shock Absorber A2233208903 For Mercedes-Benz 223 4WD Front Left
OEM Part Number: A2233208903
Vehicle Application: Mercedes-Benz 223 chassis front left four-wheel drive
Compatible Models: S450, S500, S580 and other 4WD versions (2021-2025)
This air suspension strut assembly is designed specifically for Mercedes-Benz S-Class W223 4WD models (from 2021 onwards), precisely fitting the front left (driver's side) position to original equipment specifications.
Integrating the core functions of an air spring and a shock absorber, this component is an indispensable part of the vehicle's AIRMATIC air suspension system. It directly supports the front axle, dampens vibrations, and controls body posture. Working in coordination with the front right strut, suspension control arms, stabilizer bar and other related parts, it forms a complete front suspension system that ensures stable and comfortable driving performance under various road conditions.
Featuring a structure fully compliant with Mercedes-Benz original standards, it perfectly matches the suspension layout of the W223 4WD chassis. No modifications or adaptations are required; it can directly replace the original worn part, fully inheriting all performance parameters of the OE component. This guarantees seamless integration with the vehicle's overall suspension system and meets driving requirements under various road conditions.
Keep dry, clean and handle with care.

This is usually because the air suspension system has not been reset or matched after installation. After replacing the new strut, a Mercedes-Benz dedicated diagnostic tool (such as XENTRY) is required to perform "level calibration" and "component learning" on the AIRMATIC system. Even if the strut works physically, the system may still report a fault code because it does not recognize the new component. It is recommended to perform system matching and clear fault codes after installation.
The product includes the strut body along with necessary sealing rings and dust covers, but may not include air line fitting clamps or wiring harness clips. To ensure airtightness, it is recommended to replace the air spring sealing rings and air line fixing clamps (available separately) according to the original factory repair manual during installation. Using old seals may cause slow air leakage and affect service life.
Not necessarily. First, check whether the strut top mount, thrust bearing and mounting bolts are properly tightened. A loose or damaged top mount can also cause noise. Next, confirm that the air spring bladder is not rubbing against surrounding components. If the above causes are ruled out and the noise is accompanied by reduced damping performance, there may be a fault in the internal damping valve of the strut. It is recommended to perform a dynamic road test or remove the strut for further inspection.
