Triaxial Strain Gauge Resistance Strain Gages CA series
Product Description:
A triaxial strain gauge, also known as a rosette strain gauge, is an arrangement of three single-element strain gauges used to measure the complete two-dimensional state of strain at a point on the surface of a stressed object. A single-element gauge can only measure strain in one direction, while a triaxial rosette provides the necessary data to calculate the principal strains and their orientation.

Applications:
- Experimental Stress Analysis: Determining the stress distribution on machine parts and structural members under load.
- Material Testing: Determining the elastic modulus, Poisson's ratio, and strength characteristics of materials.
- Geotechnical Testing: Measuring the mechanical properties and shear strength of soil and rock samples in laboratory triaxial tests.
- Biomechanics: Researching stress shielding in hip prostheses by measuring strain on bones.
