About ST37 Steel
ST37 steel is a low carbon steel with a carbon content of ≤ 0.25%. This steel has mechanical properties that feature low hardness but high ductility, making it easy to shape. Therefore, this type of steel is widely used for construction, machining frames, bolts, and other applications.
ST37 Material Hardness
The initial hardness of ST37 material is 118 HRB and increases to 127 HRB after undergoing a carburizing process.
ST37 Material Standards
ST37 steel is mild steel equivalent to AISI 1045, with chemical composition of Carbon: 0.5%, Manganese: 0.8%, Silicon: 0.3% plus other elements. It features hardness of ±170 HB and tensile strength of 650-800 N/mm².
