16Mn Specification
16Mn (Q345B) steel pipe is a low alloy high strength structural steel, carbon content is 0.1%-0.25%, the main alloy elements manganese, silicon, vanadium, niobium and titanium, etc. Its total alloy content < 3%. According to the strength is divided into 300, 350, 400 and 450MPa four levels. The main ones are Q295, Q345, Q390, Q420 and Q460. : "Q" is the Chinese phonetic alphabet of yield "qu", followed by the minimum yield point (σ S) value of the grade, followed by symbols according to the impurity elements (sulfur, phosphorus) content from high to low and accompanied by changes in carbon and manganese elements into A, B, C, D four. A, B grade steel is usually called 16Mn.
