AISI 4140 42CrMo Application

42CrMo steel belongs to ultra-high strength steel with high strength and toughness, good hardenability, no obvious temper brittleness, high fatigue limit and resistance to multiple impact after quenching and tempering, and good impact toughness at low temperature. The steel is suitable for manufacturing large and medium-sized plastic moulds which require certain strength and toughness.

Used in the manufacture requirements higher than 35 crmo steel strength and conditioning section more large forgings, such as locomotive traction with the big gear, supercharger drive gear, pressure vessel, rear axle, gear load connecting rod and a spring clip, can also be used to under 2000 m deep well of oil drill pipe joint and the fishing tool, and can be used for bending machine mould, etc.
