ASTM A269 / ASME SA269 TP321Stainless Steel Welded Tube For Electro Thermal
Overview
ASTM A269/ASME SA269 TP321 welded stainless steel pipe is a corrosion-resistant piping solution based on titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel. It offers significant cost advantages in low- to medium-pressure, moderately corrosive environments. Strict weld quality and surface treatment level are crucial during selection, ensuring compatibility with high-temperature chloride environments. It is a cost-effective choice for industries such as chemical, food, and pharmaceuticals.
TP321 welded stainless steel pipe's core value in the electric heating industry lies in its ability to replace seamless pipe at a 30%-50% cost advantage while meeting the oxidation and corrosion resistance requirements of medium- and high-temperature applications. Its reliability has been proven in applications such as resistance sheaths, hot air ducts, and electrode boilers.
In the electric heating industry, small-diameter stainless steel welded pipe (such as ASTM A269 TP321) is advantageous due to its adaptability (compactly encapsulating the heating element, with diameters ranging from 6 to 25 mm), lower mass production costs compared to seamless pipe, and comparable performance. Its thin-wall design improves thermal response, and its austenitic stainless steel resistance to oxidation and corrosion at temperatures up to 800°C is also excellent.
