ASTM A269 Bright Annealed Stainless Steel 316L Seamless Coil Tube For Radiator Coils
ASTM A270 TP316L stainless steel coil tubes are continuous-length and small-diameter tubes wound into a compact coil for efficient storage, transportation, and processing. Coil tubes are essential for applications requiring long, uninterrupted lengths to minimize joints, reduce leakage risks, and improve manufacturing efficiency in automated bending and assembly processes. Grade 316L is the most versatile used stainless steel grade which has good welding and forming characteristics. Stainless Steel Coiled Tubing is designed to withstand extreme pressures and temperatures. They have a superior chemical composition and are often used in drilling and oilfield applications. The ASME SA270 stainless steel coiled Tube is generally designed with sizes of 3mm to 25.4mm and is delivered in a spool of a large reel.

Different Surface Finishes Of Stainless Steel Coil Tubes:
- Bright Annealed (BA): The standard finish—smooth, reflective, and clean.
- Pickled & Passivated: A dull, matte gray finish, acid-cleaned to enhance the natural oxide layer.
- Polished: Mechanically polished to a specific grit (e.g., #400, #600) for an ultra-smooth, mirror-like appearance, often used in sanitary applications.
Key Advantages & Features:
- Superior Corrosion Resistance: Excellent performance in corrosive environments, especially against chlorides and acidic conditions, ensuring long service life for radiators/condensers.
- High Strength & Durability: Good mechanical properties at both high and low temperatures.
- Excellent Formability & Weldability: The low carbon content allows for easy bending, flaring, and welding without compromising corrosion resistance at the heat-affected zones.
- Clean, Hygienic Surface: The BA finish minimizes fouling, is easy to clean, and resists scale build-up.
- Pressure Tight & Reliable: The seamless construction offers excellent hoop strength and leak-proof integrity.
- Thermal Conductivity: Adequate for efficient heat transfer in thermal applications.
- Aesthetic Appeal: The bright, clean finish is desirable for visible components.
Some Applications of SS316L Seamless Coil Tubes:
- Radiators & Condensers: In automotive, industrial refrigeration, and power plants, where they carry refrigerants, coolants, or process fluids.
- Heat Exchangers: Shell-and-tube, plate, and coil-type exchangers in chemical, petrochemical, and marine industries.
- Instrumentation & Hydraulic Lines: For control systems, sensors, and fuel lines.
- Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical Processing: Where hygiene, cleanability, and corrosion resistance are paramount.
- Semiconductor Manufacturing: For high-purity gas and chemical delivery systems.
- Solar Thermal Systems: As absorber tubes in evacuated tube collectors.
