ASTM A269 TP316L Bright Annealed Tube is a high-precision, corrosion-resistant austenitic stainless steel seamless tube, specifically designed for demanding industrial fluid transfer applications, food processing industry, pharmacy, etc.. The TP316L material grade is a low-carbon variant of 316 stainless steel, containing Molybdenum (2-3%), which provides superior corrosion resistance, particularly against chlorides and acids. The low carbon content minimizes sensitization during welding or annealing, ensuring excellent weldability and intergranular corrosion resistance. Different Surface Finishes (Grit Polishing):

The "#" refers to the grit size of the abrasive used in final polishing. A higher number indicates a finer, smoother finish.

• 180# Polish: A "satin" or "brushed" finish. Visible, uniform polishing lines. Good for general corrosion resistance and moderate cleanability.
• 240# Polish: A finer satin finish, with less visible lines. Offers a balance between cost and performance.
• 320# Polish (As Specified): A fine, smooth, semi-reflective finish. Nearly indistinguishable polishing lines. Excellent for applications requiring high cleanliness, reduced friction, and easy decontamination. Often the minimum standard for pharmaceutical and high-purity fluid systems.
• 400# & 600# Polish: Very smooth, highly reflective, near-mirror finishes. Used for ultra-high purity, semiconductor, and cosmetic applications where absolute minimal bacterial adhesion and particle shedding are critical.
• Bright Annealed (BA) Only: The inherent shiny finish from the annealing furnace, without subsequent mechanical polishing. Smooth and clean but may have minor furnace streaks. Offers excellent corrosion resistance as the surface layer is undisturbed.
