A Stainless Steel Blood Lancet is a single-use medical device which is designed for capillary blood sampling. It functions as a small, sharp-pointed blade or needle used to make a quick, precise incision in the person’s skin, typically on the fingertip, heel, or earlobe, to obtain a small blood sample for diagnostic testing (e.g., glucose monitoring, hemoglobin tests, newborn screening). The Tri-Bevel Solid Tip is formed by grinding three distinct bevels (angled surfaces) to create an extremely sharp and solid point, which minimizes pain and tissue damage during the puncture. There are three types of blood lancets: Safety lancet, Twist Lancet, Flat Lancet. They generally consist of PVC holder and stainless steel lancet/needle.
