Product Description

The weld neck flange is characterized by its extended, conically tapered hub, which is specifically engineered for butt-welding to a pipe or pressure vessel nozzle. This design facilitates a full-penetration, circumferential butt weld that ensures optimal mechanical strength and metallurgical continuity across the joint. The tapered hub geometry enables a gradual transition of stress from the flange to the pipe wall, thereby reducing stress concentrations and enhancing fatigue resistance, particularly under cyclic loading, elevated temperatures, and high-pressure service conditions.


Weld neck flanges are predominantly employed in critical service applications across industries such as petrochemical processing, oil and gas transportation, offshore and subsea systems, and thermal and nuclear power generation.
