DIN302 solid rivets are permanent, high-shear fasteners for primary and secondary aircraft structures. The installed joint is formed through precise cold-forming, where the protruding shank is plastically deformed by a bucking bar to create a flush shop head, ensuring complete hole fill and uniform load transfer in shear-critical applications.
