Galvanized Bending Parts, also known as press-brake formed components, are custom-fabricated parts created by precisely bending hot-dip galvanized steel sheets or plates along straight axes. This versatile cold-forming process transforms flat, corrosion-protected steel into specific two- or three-dimensional profiles. The result combines the excellent corrosion resistance, strength, and durability of galvanized steel with the design flexibility and structural utility of custom metal fabrication. These parts are essential across industries, serving as critical brackets, supports, channels, and enclosures where standard profiles are insufficient.

Technical Parameters & Specifications

Parameter Description / Typical Capabilities
Base Material Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet/coil (e.g., DX51D+Z, S280GD+Z). Also available from pre-painted galvanized steel (PPGI).
Material Thickness Commonly from 0.8 mm to 6.0 mm. Thinner gauges (0.8-2.0mm) are typical for enclosures, thicker plates (3.0-6.0mm) for structural brackets.
Bending Length Up to 6,000 mm or more, depending on press brake equipment capacity.
Bending Angle High-precision angles from 30° to 180° (including acute and obtuse angles).
Bend Radius (R) Typically, the minimum inside bend radius (R) is 0.8 to 1.5 times the material thickness (t). E.g., for 2mm sheet, min R ≈ 1.6mm - 3.0mm.
Dimensional Tolerance Bending length tolerance typically ±0.5 mm, angle tolerance ±1°. Higher precision available.
Hole & Cut-Out Features Can incorporate punched holes, slots, louvers, notches, and embossing prior to bending in a single setup.
Surface Consideration The galvanized coating may develop minor micro-cracking on the outer surface of a tight bend, which does not compromise overall corrosion protection.
