Executing a multi-facility industrial park requires a highly optimized structural grid to balance clear-span requirements with steel tonnage efficiency. The complex utilizes a standardized multi-span portal frame design that minimizes foundation eccentricity and standardizes connection details across multiple buildings, reducing erection time and ensuring predictable structural performance under dead, live, and dynamic loads.

Structural Anatomy: Portal Frame System Analysis

Our engineering team models every PEB structure using advanced structural analysis software (Tekla, STAAD.Pro) to optimize steel weight while strictly adhering to local building codes (AISC, Eurocode, or GB standards).

  • Main Frame (Steel Column & Steel Beam): Fabricated from built-up Q355B steel plates with yield strength ≥ 355 MPa. Tapered designs align structural depth with bending moment diagrams to optimize steel mass.
  • Crane Beam: Engineered for dynamic vertical and lateral loads, supporting heavy-duty bridge cranes (Class A4 to A7, 5-ton to 50+ ton capacities) with strict deflection controls.
  • Bracing System (Cross Brace & Column Bracing): Crucial for lateral stability, transferring wind and seismic shear forces directly to the foundation.
  • Wind-resistant Column: Strategically placed at gable ends to divide wind pressure and transfer horizontal wind loads to the roof diaphragm and foundation.
  • Secondary Framing (Roof Purlins, Wall Purlins & Tie Rods): Cold-formed Z and C sections made from high-tensile galvanized steel (Yield strength ≥ 275 MPa, Z275 coating).

Fabrication Data: Heavy Steel Manufacturing Process

High-performance structures depend on workshop tolerances and weld integrity. Our manufacturing process includes:

  • CNC Cutting & Automatic Assembly: Flange and web plates cut using CNC plasma/flame machines with dimensional tolerance of ±2.0 mm.
  • Submerged Arc Welding (SAW): Built-up H-beams undergo continuous, double-sided automatic SAW ensuring deep weld penetration and zero porosity.
  • Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): 100% visual inspection with Ultrasonic Testing (UT) or Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) applied to primary load-bearing welds.
  • Surface Preparation & Coating: All primary structural steel is mechanically shot-blasted to ISO 8501-1 Sa 2.5 standard.
  • Corrosion Protection System: Beams coated with high-build epoxy zinc-rich primer with standard Dry Film Thickness (DFT) ≥ 80μm.
