GOST 9941 12X18H12T / ANSI 321 / 1.4541 Stainless Steel Seamless Tube Petrochemical Pipeline Use

GOST 9941 12X18H12T Seamless Tube is a cold-worked or warm-worked seamless stainless steel tube manufactured according to the Russian GOST 9941 standard. The steel grade 12X18H12T is a chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel stabilized with Titanium, equivalent roughly to AISI 321 or 304H in Western standards. Its primary advantage is its resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding and its good strength at elevated temperatures. It is the Russian equivalent of AISI 321H (UNS S32109) and is typically used for heat exchangers, furnace piping, and superheater tubes in refineries and power plants.

If you need to replace this tube with a Western standard or source a modern equivalent, here is the mapping:

  • AISI / ASTM (USA): AISI 321 (Grade 321) is the closest direct equivalent due to the Titanium stabilization.
