EN 1.4558 (X2NiCrAlTi32-20) Stainless Steel Tube Sch80S intended for pipelines
Product Introduction
EN 1.4558 stainless steel is a superaustenitic (highly alloyed) stainless steel formulated for primary forming into wrought products. Cited properties are appropriate for the solution annealed (AT) condition. 1.4558 is the EN numeric designation for this material. X2NiCrAlTi32-20 is the EN chemical designation.
It has a very low tensile strength among wrought superaustenitic stainless steels. In addition, it has a moderately low base cost and a moderately low embodied energy.
Applications
The 1.4558 grade is used in chemical industry equipment manufacturing nitric acid and derivatives, salts and fertilizers. Also used in cryotechnics, pharmaceutical industry, food industry (food processing plants, dairies, sugar factories, breweries), fuel industry (refineries and petrochemical plants).
Steel intended for pipelines, autoclaves, transport tanks, heat exchangers, absorption towers, pumps, coolers, and reactors.
