Introduction​:

304

304 grade is a common material in stainless steel area, with a density of 7.93 g/cm³, which is also called 18/8 stainless steel in the industry. GB standard is 0Cr18Ni9.

304 stainless steel strip has good weldability. These strips products can be used for vessel parts, stainless steel welding pipes, stainless steel flexible hose and corrugated pipe, etc.

Can we use 304L instead of 304?

Type 304 and 304L have very similar chemical and mechanical properties. The only difference between them is the carbon content; the 304 stainless steel has a maximum range of carbon of 0.08% whereas the 304L has a maximum range of 0.03%. This range of carbon in the steel affects the corrosion resistance of the tanks.
