Maintenance Free Rod End Bearing SIL..TK GIKR..PW
Male Thread Ball Joint 5-35mm Left Hand Thread
Product Overview
Maintenance Free Rod End Bearings, also known as self-lubricating rod end joint bearings, are sliding bearings that operate without regular external oil injection. These bearings utilize built-in solid lubricating materials to achieve long-term maintenance-free operation, making them ideal for mechanical systems requiring high reliability, cleanliness, and maintenance convenience.
Key Features & Benefits
- Maintenance-Free Operation: Built-in solid lubricating materials provide continuous lubrication without regular refueling
- High Reliability: Eliminates jamming and wear caused by insufficient lubrication
- Environmentally Friendly: No risk of oil leakage, suitable for food, medical, and clean room applications
- Corrosion Resistance: Stainless steel construction with non-metallic lubricating layers for harsh environments
- Long Service Life: "One-time installation, long-term operation" design philosophy
Product Structure & Components
This rod end bearing consists of several key components:
- Body: High-strength carbon structural steel with galvanized or anti-corrosion treatment, featuring internal threads (SI type) or external threads (SA type)
- Inner Ring: Hardened bearing steel (GCr15) with spherical outer surface, quenched and tempered for high hardness and wear resistance
- Self-Lubricating Pad: Embedded sliding surface made of sintered bronze+graphite, PTFE composite fabric, or copper alloy+molybdenum disulfide
- Outer Ring: Double half structure or integral design forming ball joint structure with inner ring spherical surface
- Seals: Rubber sealing rings on high-end models to prevent dust and moisture ingress

For left-hand thread, suffix "L" is added to bearing number and thread sign, e.g. SIL20T/K M20x1.5L-6H.
SI..TK is equivalent to GIKR..PW INA.
Industrial Applications
Specifically designed for automatic production line applications requiring reliable, maintenance-free bearing solutions
Common Applications
- Robotics: Joints in wrists, elbows, knees, and ankles requiring lightweight, high-precision maintenance-free design
- Medical Equipment: Operating table adjustment mechanisms and rehabilitation equipment joints requiring oil-free clean operation
- Food & Packaging Machinery: Strapping machines and conveyor line tensioning devices to prevent oil contamination
- Automated Production Lines: Robotic arm connection nodes and linkage transmission for enhanced system stability
- Rail Transit & Automotive: Suspension systems and pedal connectors with vibration resistance and wear resistance
Selection Guidelines
Choose the appropriate rod end bearing type based on your specific requirements:
- High Swing Frequency: PTFE composite material liners for superior anti-friction performance
- Wet/Corrosive Environments: Stainless steel rod ends or models with sealed structures
- Heavy Load Conditions: Inner ring quenching and outer ring thickening design (PHS.. POS.. type)
- Space-Limited Applications: SI... C internal thread design for easy reverse installation
Installation Tips
Preparation
Ensure bearings are not bumped or deformed, and sliding spherical surfaces are free from scratches or contamination. Use specialized tools including press machines, copper or soft steel assembly sleeves, and torque wrenches.
Recommended Installation Method: Press Fit
- Use soft metal assembly sleeves with inner diameter slightly larger than shaft neck and outer diameter smaller than inner ring edge
- Apply force directly to tightly fitted end face of sleeve
- Never transmit pressure through rolling elements or sliding surfaces to prevent PTFE layer damage
- For mass installation, use press machines to ensure uniform force distribution and concentric pressing
