Mini Semi-auto Carrier Tape SMD Packing Machine SMD Components Taping Packing Machine SMD Taping machine
A semi-automatic carrier taping machine is a device used to arrange electronic components at fixed intervals and place them into a carrier tape. The components are then sealed with a cover tape and wound into reels. This type of packaging is widely used in the electronics manufacturing industry to enable automatic feeding for SMT (Surface Mount Technology) machines.

Semi-automatic carrier taping machines are mainly used in the following fields:
- Electronic Component Manufacturing
Used for taping and packaging components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, and IC chips.
- SMT Assembly Factories
Used to re-tape loose or tube-packed components so they can be automatically fed into SMT pick-and-place machines.
- Electronic Component Distributors
Used to split large reels of components into smaller quantities and repackage them according to customer requirements.
- LED Manufacturing Industry
Commonly used for taping LED chips such as 3528, 5050, and 2835 packages.
The working process of a semi-automatic carrier taping machine generally includes the following steps:
- Feeding
Electronic components are manually loaded or fed into the machine through devices such as a vibrating feeder.
- Positioning
The machine aligns and positions the components to ensure they enter the correct pockets of the carrier tape.
- Placing into Carrier Tape
The components are inserted into the pockets of the carrier tape at fixed intervals.
- Cover Taping / Sealing
A cover tape is applied and sealed onto the carrier tape, usually through heat sealing or pressure sealing, to secure the components.
- Reeling
The finished taped components are wound onto reels for storage, transportation, and use in SMT production lines.
