IEC 60529 IPX5-IPX6 Two In One Water Ingress Test Jet Nozzle With Digital Flow Meter
The IPX5/6 Jet Nozzle Set equipped with a digital real-time flow meter complies with IEC 60529 and GB/T 4208 waterproof test standards. It is specially designed to simulate high-pressure splashing and powerful jet water environments, and used to verify the water-proof enclosure protective performance of various finished products and components, including electronic & electrical equipment, auto and motorcycle spare parts, household appliances, waterproof sealing components, outdoor lighting fixtures, charging piles and control cabinets. The matched digital flow meter can accurately monitor and calibrate the test water flow, ensuring the test parameters fully meet the specified flow requirements of IPX5 and IPX6 waterproof rating, so as to accurately judge whether the product shell can effectively block the intrusion of water jet under daily washing, heavy rain and high-pressure flushing scenarios.

Operation Steps
Assemble the water pipeline, water pump and spray nozzle following the attached diagram. Afterwards, twist the valve handle to turn on the water supply and regulate the flow rate: set it to 12.5±0.625 L/min for IPX5 testing, and 100±5 L/min for IPX6 testing.
IPX5 Waterproof Grade Test
In accordance with Figure 6 of IEC60529 standard, fit the 6.3mm-diameter nozzle onto the spray gun, then tune the water flow to 12.5±0.625 L/min. Maintain a 2.5~3 meter gap between the nozzle tip and the outer casing of the test specimen. Direct the water jet toward the unit from every feasible angle during spraying.
IPX6 Waterproof Grade Test
Detach the original Φ6.3mm nozzle and mount the Φ12.5mm nozzle on the spray gun instead, then calibrate the water flow to 100±5 L/min. Keep the distance between nozzle and sample housing at 2.5 to 3 meters, and spray the equipment's exterior from all accessible orientations using continuous water jets.

It ensures that the water spray speed reaches the standard required value by controlling the water supply flow, the enclosure is sprayed from all practicable directions with a stream of water from the standard test nozzles as shown in IEC 60529 figure 6.
