The knife gate valve, also known as a knife-shaped gate valve, knife gate valve, or slurry valve, is a uniquely designed gate valve. Its core component is a blade-like, beveled gate disc. This design enables it to easily cut through and handle viscous or scaling media containing solid particles, fibers, slurries, and other materials.
