The intelligent blind spot monitoring system and ambient lights of Tesla Model Y/3 have the following features:
This function is based on a camera-based system that detects objects such as cars, bicycles, and pedestrians. When opening the driver's door may cause a collision with passing vehicles, cyclists, or pedestrians, a warning indicator will light up, accompanied by an audible alarm, and the door will remain closed until the warning is manually deactivated.
When there are vehicles in the left or right blind spots, the system's indicator light will turn yellow to warn the driver. If the driver attempts to change lanes and turns on the turn signal while there is a vehicle in the blind spot, the indicator light will turn red. Additionally, some third-party systems are equipped with RGB LED beads, which can provide bright and clear warning signals. They adopt a ring structure and a laser-engraved light-emitting surface, featuring a unique visual effect that blends with Tesla's minimalist style.
The ambient light has uniform and soft light, enhancing the driving experience.
