321 stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel that undergoes stabilization treatment by adding titanium (Ti) elements on the basis of 304.
⚙️ Core Properties
· Resistance to intergranular corrosion: The added titanium preferentially combines with carbon, preventing the formation of chromium carbides during welding. This effectively avoids 'chromium depletion' and intergranular corrosion. It is recommended for use in the 'sensitization temperature range' of 430°C - 900°C.
· Superior high-temperature strength: At temperatures above 500°C, its creep and tensile strength are better than those of 304 and 304L.
· Key performance parameters: Tensile strength ≥520MPa, yield strength ≥205MPa, hardness ≤200HV, density approximately 7.9g/cm³. Its resistance to chloride pitting is generally moderate, and it is not recommended for use in seawater environments.
