Comparison between P355NL1 steel and P355NL2 steel:
These two grades covered by EN 10028-3 are given in two qualities: low temperature quality (P355NL1) and special low temperature quality (P355NL2). Compare with P355NL1 steel, P355NL2 steel has the same minimum yield strength of 355 Mpa, but different impact test requirements. The other difference between the P355NL1 and the P355NL2 grades is the the reduced % of P and S, no metallic inclusions allowed in the steel for lower temperature.
