Sodium ascorbyl phosphate, also known as sodium L-ascorbyl-2-phosphate or sodium ascorbyl phosphate (SAP), is also called L-ascorbic acid-2-phosphate trisodium salt or vitamin C phosphate sodium. Its molecular formula is C6H6Na3O9P, CAS number is 66170-10-3, molecular weight is 322.1, and purity is ≥95%. This substance is a white or off-white crystalline solid. A 3% aqueous solution has a pH of 8.0–10.0, heavy metal content ≤10 ppm, and arsenic salt content ≤2 ppm.

Application

Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate is a derivative of vitamin C that perfectly inherits the bioactivity of vitamin C while achieving breakthroughs in stability and gentleness. It is a highly effective and safe skin-whitening ingredient.

An internationally recognized water-soluble, highly effective skin-lightening and whitening agent that inhibits tyrosinase activity, reduces melanin, and thus has skin-lightening and whitening effects.

Once inside the body, it can eliminate oxygen free radicals, thus possessing wrinkle-reducing and anti-aging functions.

This product exhibits excellent stability, showing no discoloration, moisture absorption, or clumping within its shelf life; it is not easily oxidized, is resistant to alkalis, is unaffected by iron or other metal ions, and can be stored for extended periods.

Precautions

This product is more stable than ascorbic acid when heated to high temperatures. For example, after treatment at 200℃ for 15 minutes, this product retains 90% of its original value with essentially no change in biological effects, while ordinary vitamin C completely loses its activity. Therefore, it is suitable for nutritional fortification of high-temperature processed foods.
