Construction Steps

1.Base Treatment: Remove debris and protruding sharp objects from roof base, fill the uneven areas with cement mortar to ensure the base is flat and dry without obvious water accumulation risks.

2. Pre-laying Marking Draw reference lines according to the roof dimensions and the width of TPO membrane rolls, lay the TPO membrane rolls naturally and loosely on base, and let them stand for 30 minutes to release the internal stress of the material, so as to avoid the membrane wrinkling caused by temperature changes in the later stage.

3. Mechanical Fixing Fix the membrane rolls to the roof base with matching galvanized pressure bars and self-tapping screws. The spacing of fixing points shall be strictly set according to the calculation results of load to ensure that the overall wind uplift resistance performance meets the standards.

4. Hot Air Welding: Treat the lap edges of the membrane rolls an automatic hot air welding machine. Control the lap width to be above 10mm. Adjust the welding temperature according to the ambient temperature to ensure that the lap edges fully fused together without soldering defects such as cold joints or missed welds.

5. Detail Treatment: For detail positions such as and external roof corners, pipe roots, ventilation openings, and pipes extending from the roof, cut homogeneous TPO membrane rolls into adapted shapes heat and shape them with a hot air gun, then weld and seal them. Fix all head parts with U-shaped pressure bars and apply sealant to seal edges.

Acceptance Inspection: Conduct an air inflation test on all double-weld lap edges. If the pressure remains stable for minutes after reaching 0.15MPa, it is qualified. At the same time, the overall membrane surface for no damage or curling edges to complete the construction acceptance.
