Corrosion-resistant chemical transport — stainless steel lined, compressed air discharge, ADR-ready

This tanker is designed for industrial chemical logistics — solvents, mild acids, caustic solutions, liquid fertilizers, and similar cargo that would eat through a standard carbon steel tank in months. The inner tank is 3mm 316L stainless steel, fully seam-welded and passivated, with a carbon steel outer shell for structural strength and impact protection. Total capacity is 22,000 liters in a single compartment with internal surge baffles.

Discharge is pneumatic rather than pumped — compressed air at up to 3 bar pushes the product out through the bottom outlet. Why air? No pump seals to fail from chemical attack, no product contamination from pump lubricants, and you can throttle the discharge rate by adjusting air pressure. At 2 bar you are moving about 45 cubic meters per hour. The on-board compressor is PTO-driven with a 200-liter air receiver tank. All gaskets and seals are PTFE or Viton, selected based on the chemical compatibility chart for your cargo type.

The tank can be configured with an optional steam heating jacket (half-pipe coil on the lower third) for products that need to stay above a certain temperature. Safety is a priority: pressure/vacuum relief valve set at 3.5 bar, a burst disc as secondary overpressure protection, and a dedicated earthing point with a 10-meter grounding cable. For hazmat certification, we can supply the tank with ADR plate, UN markings, and the required documentation package.
