Description

12011674B Dimensions: 75×100×12/13. Designed specifically for the front crankshaft position of engines in Mercedes-Benz heavy-duty commercial vehicles, trucks, buses, and certain heavy industrial machinery.
Key vehicle applications: Mercedes-Benz T2/L series (light/medium commercial vehicles); Mercedes-Benz O 302 series and other classic buses/coaches; Mercedes-Benz 1216 series and similar medium-to-heavy conventional trucks.
1. Prevents oil leakage (primary seal): During engine operation, the crankshaft rotates at high speeds while the interior is filled with high-pressure oil. The inner lip of the seal (at the 75mm diameter) fits tightly against the crankshaft journal, effectively blocking internal oil and preventing it from seeping outward along the rotating shaft.
2. Blocks external contaminants (dust lip): This specification features a dust lip (indicated by the 12/13mm dual-height design); the slightly raised outer secondary lip blocks external mud, dust, and moisture from entering the engine, thereby protecting the primary lip from wear.
3. Active oil return (right-hand twist return lines): The inner wall of the seal features right-hand twist return grooves. When the crankshaft rotates clockwise, these micro-helical patterns act like an "Archimedes screw pump," utilizing fluid dynamics to push oil attempting to escape back into the engine.
High-temperature and corrosion resistance: Manufactured using premium FPM/FKM (fluororubber/Viton) material. This enables the seal to withstand temperatures exceeding 120°C at the front of heavy-duty diesel engines, resist chemical corrosion from oil additives, and maintain elasticity during prolonged high-speed friction.
