Functions:
1. Securely seals engine oil (prevents internal leakage): Truck engines contain high-pressure, high-temperature oil used to lubricate the crankshaft and connecting rods. The rear crankshaft oil seal acts as a robust barrier, preventing oil from escaping the rotating crankshaft end into the flywheel housing and transmission assembly.
2. High-performance PTFE material ensures exceptional durability: Part 19037206B utilizes premium PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene/Teflon) combined with ACM (acrylate rubber). PTFE offers superior resistance to extreme heat and oil corrosion, as well as a low coefficient of friction, enabling it to withstand the high-heat environments encountered during long-haul trucking over tens of thousands of kilometers.
3. Left-hand return thread design (active oil pumping): A close inspection of the sealing surface reveals a hydrodynamic lip featuring a left-hand twist thread. As the Scania engine rotates clockwise, this thread acts like a "micro-pump," actively directing any oil attempting to seep outward back into the engine, thereby achieving dynamic zero-leakage performance.
