The SAS 29P IDC Female Cable Connector 180° with Positioning Peg is designed for high-speed electronic signal and power transmission in SAS-based server, storage and industrial systems.
With a 1.27mm pitch and 29 female terminals, this connector is ideal for compact, high-density wire and cable assemblies between backplanes, HDD / SSD drives and controller boards.
Each terminal is made from phosphor bronze C5191-H (t=0.25mm) and plated with 50u" minimum nickel over the entire terminal, gold G/F (gold flash) on the contact area for low contact resistance, and 80u" minimum tin on the solder & crimp area to ensure strong, reliable wire termination.
The housing uses glass-filled LCP, black, UL94-V0, providing excellent mechanical strength and heat resistance required in high-reliability electrical and electronic equipment.
Electrically, the connector supports 1.5A @ 40VAC, with contact resistance ≤30mΩ, insulation resistance ≥1000MΩ, and dielectric withstand 500VAC / minute, ensuring stable performance for high-speed data and power transmission. A single-pin retention force of at least 0.8kgf guarantees secure terminal locking inside the housing.
The positioning peg helps align the connector accurately in fixtures or over-mold tools and enhances stability in cable harnesses, making this connector a robust choice for customized wire, cable and wiring harness solutions.

⚠️ Notes
- Select proper wire gauge and insulation type according to the current rating (1.5A @ 40VAC) and application requirements.
- Follow the recommended IDC / crimping or soldering process to ensure full tin-plated area wetting and stable electrical contact.
- Keep the gold-plated contact areas clean; avoid touching terminals with bare hands to prevent contamination and increased contact resistance.
- During assembly, use the positioning peg to align the connector correctly in fixtures or over-mold tools, preventing mechanical stress on terminals.
- Do not exceed the specified single-pin retention force or apply excessive pulling force on the cable to avoid damage to housing or terminals.
- Store products in dry, anti-static packaging, and use ESD protection when handling near sensitive electronic components.
- Operate the connector only within the specified temperature range (–20°C to +85°C) and electrical ratings to ensure long-term reliability.
