Reflecting the ability of resin sand to resist metal thermal and mechanical effects, it to some extent indicates the thermal decomposition rate of resin binder and the strength of resin sand. Its measurement method is to apply a constant load to the sample and quickly place it in a furnace that has been heated to a certain temperature, then start timing until the sample collapses. The time elapsed from loading to sample collapse is called conditional thermal stability.
Restricted thermal expansion force: The magnitude of the load required to maintain the length of the specimen at high temperatures. Reflect the magnitude of internal stress generated by resin sand under constrained conditions. The unit is N. The measurement method is to place the sample in a furnace that has been heated to a certain temperature, while keeping the length of the sample constant, record the magnitude of the force applied, and take the maximum value as the limited thermal expansion force.
High temperature expansion rate: the percentage (%) of the linear change of the sample after free expansion at high temperature to the original size.
