Applications
The ZL-3014C Melt Flow Indexer meets the requirements of GB/T3682-2000, ASTM D3364 (and ASTM D1238-98). Designed with reference to similar standards including JB/T5456 and ISO 1133, this instrument is used to determine the melt mass-flow rate (MFR) and melt volume-flow rate (MVR) of thermoplastic materials.
For MFR determination, the instrument employs automatic sampling with cut samples weighed by balance. For MVR determination, it measures the time required for the piston to move a specified distance using displacement transducers and an automatic timer system, then calculates MVR according to the formula.
Both methods display final results on the machine's LCD screen and provide printed output and computer export capabilities. The instrument offers high measurement accuracy, simple operation, and stable performance.
Suitable for testing engineering plastics with higher melt temperatures (PC, FI plastics, nylon) as well as plastics with lower melt temperatures (PE, PP, POM, PS, ABS resin, poly carbonic acid ester, etc.).
Widely used in plastic fabrication, plastic goods manufacturing, petrochemical industries, colleges and universities, research institutes, and commodity inspection departments.
