Testing Principle & Methodology
Test Objective
Simulates power lithium batteries under strong external pressure conditions. The equipment ensures personnel safety and protects the test environment during potential battery explosions or combustion events.
Single Cell Testing Conditions
- Squeezing direction: Pressure perpendicular to battery plate
- Squeezing plate: Half cylinder (650mm length, 75mm diameter)
- Squeezing rate: (5±1)mm/s
- Stop conditions: Voltage reaches 0V, 30% deformation, or 30kN pressure
- Observation period: 1 hour
Battery Module Testing Conditions
- Squeezing plate: Half cylinder (75mm diameter, length ≤1m)
- Squeezing direction: Most likely vehicle impact direction
- Squeezing rate: (5±1)mm/s
- Stop conditions: 30% deformation or pressure reaches 1000× module weight
- Observation period: 1 hour after 10-minute hold
