Product Description

Hot melt paint, also known as thermoplastic road marking paint, is a type of coating used primarily for road markings, applied in a molten state after being heated. It falls under standards like BS3262 for hot-applied thermoplastic materials and is designed for durability, reflectivity, and quick setting. Unlike cold-applied paints, it requires heating to become fluid, then solidifies rapidly upon cooling.

    • Binder (18–25%): Resins (e.g., C5 petroleum or rosin-based) for adhesion and flexibility.
    • Glass Beads (≥20%): For retro-reflectivity, enhancing night visibility.
    • Pigments (5–12%): Titanium dioxide (white) or organic pigments (yellow) for color.
    • Fillers (40–50%): Calcium carbonate or silica for bulk and skid resistance.
    • Additives (1–5%): Plasticizers and stabilizers for flow and durability.
