The MS9710B is a diffraction-grating optical spectrum analyzer covering 600 to 1750 nm with minimum 0.07 nm RBW for general optical and WDM work. High-dynamic-range mode achieves 70 dB at 1 nm offset, while –90 dBm sensitivity and ±0.4 dB level accuracy support low-level measurements. Wavelength accuracy can be tightened to ±0.05 nm using the optional internal reference source and auto calibration. Standard GPIB and RS-232C enable automated testing; sweep time is as fast as 0.5 s per 500 nm. Refurbished units are typically supplied calibrated, offering reliable performance at lower cost.
