A: This is a single-component 1K acrylic basecoat, so no hardener is added: mix 100 parts basecoat with 100-120 parts thinner, stir evenly and strain before spraying. Choose fast, standard or slow thinner according to booth temperature, then spray with a 1.2-1.3 mm gravity gun at 2.0-3.0 MPa over a dry, sanded primer surface.

Q: How many coats are needed and how long does it take to flash off?

A: Spray 2-3 coats with 5-8 minutes flash-off between them at 20-25C, which gives full hiding over the primer or a sanded original finish. The film levels well, so light dust nibs can be sanded with P800-P1000 before the clear coat. In hotter shops the flash-off time shortens, so work smaller areas per pass.
