Weight and Cycling

LifePO4 batteries are between 1/3-1/4 the weight of traditional lead acid batteries. They also cycle up to more than 2000 times at 100% and 1C rate. However, its life cycles will be more if less 100% DOD and less 1C.

Efficiency and Full Cycle Capacity

Lead acid batteries’ internal resistance requires them to be charged slowly and in stages to keep internal temperatures lower.

While, lifepo4 batteries can be charged at a constant current and constant voltage, which allows them to be recharged quickly and put back into service when they’re needed.
