The Strep-Tactin beads, which are based on superparamagnetic technology, are designed for the rapid and efficient separation of Strep(II)-tagged proteins. The Strep-tag is a synthetic peptide composed of eight amino acids: Trp-Ser-His-Pro-Gln-Phe-Glu-Lys. Generally, it does not interfere with protein folding or bioactivity.
