Angle Guide Plate
A plastic angle guide plate (also known as rail insulator, nylon insulator, or railway spacer) is a critical component in railway fastening systems. It is installed under tension clamps in SKL fastening systems, working together with screw spikes, plastic dowels, flat washers, and rail pads.
Key Functions
- Force Transmission: The angled design guides forces from the rail into the base plate and then into the concrete, preventing screw-dowel combinations from being loaded by shearing and bending forces
- Tilting Protection: The design provides additional support to prevent rail tilting
- Gauge Adjustment: Different widths of angle guide plates can regulate the track gauge, allowing for ±10mm track adjustment
- Electrical Insulation: Provides high electrical insulation for the rail signal system
Material Specifications
Angle guide plates are made from glass fiber reinforced polyamide (PA66/Nylon 66 with 30-35% glass fiber content).
