High Temperature And High Pressure Resistant Ordinary Metal Tube Float Flowmeter
The general type of metal tube float flowmeter with wide application medium, high temperature and high pressure resistance utilizes the dynamic balance between fluid force and float gravity to allow the float to freely float in the conical measuring tube. The height position of the float (i.e., the annular gap area through which the fluid passes) corresponds to the magnitude of the instantaneous flow rate.
Main advantages
- Intuitive and reliable, on-site display: No external power supply is required for direct reading on-site, making it highly suitable for on-site monitoring.
- Low and constant pressure drop: The pressure drop mainly results from the weight of the float and does not vary with flow rate, typically being very small (a few kPa), which saves energy.
- Wide range ratio: Usually up to 10:1 or even higher, outperforming orifice plates.
- Low requirement for upstream straight pipe sections: Due to its stable structure, it generally only requires 5D upstream and 3D downstream straight pipe sections, offering flexible installation.
- Wide range of applicable media: It can measure liquids, gases, and steam. By choosing different float and cone tube materials (such as stainless steel, Hastelloy, PTFE-lined), it can withstand corrosive media.
- Sturdy structure, resistant to high temperature and pressure: All-metal construction, suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure applications (such as up to hundreds of degrees Celsius and several MPa).
Typical application scenarios
- Process industry: Process monitoring and batching of various corrosive, clean liquids or gases in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries.
- Energy equipment: Fuel and gas flow measurement and control for boilers and burners.
- Laboratory and small flow control: Small flow supply for precision experimental devices and analytical instruments.
- Water treatment: Addition and metering of chemical agents.
- Compressed air systems: Consumption measurement of compressed air in factory workshops.
The standard metal tube float flowmeter is an intuitive, durable and adaptable "field worker".
