3 phase actuator powered by 3 phase AC with passive contact switch for valve position
DCL compact electric actuators are widely applied in HVAC systems, particularly for use with butterfly valves. Within building automation systems, they play a pivotal role in regulating indoor temperature, air-handling unit airflow, chilled and hot water flow, condensate drainage, and overall hydraulic balancing.
The DCL H-type control circuit, paired with a three-phase AC motor, is specially designed for actuators powered by 380 VAC or 440 VAC (50/60 Hz)—power supplies commonly utilized in heavy-duty industrial environments such as power plants and steel mills. Like single-phase actuators, when a continuous voltage control signal is applied, the motor drives a robust all-metal gear train to rotate the output shaft by 90°. Travel is precisely regulated by internal cams that actuate limit switches, automatically stopping the motor and delivering a dry-contact signal at the fully open position. Upon receiving a reverse continuous signal, the motor operates in the opposite direction, returning the actuator to the closed position.
The actuator is easy to install and fully complies with the ISO 5211 multi-flange mounting standard, equipped with a double-square output drive for secure valve coupling.
