DCL modulating electric actuators are designed for S4 intermittent periodic duty. In high-precision environments like chemical processing and food & beverage, where flow control requires constant adjustment, the actuator’s start frequency is exceptionally high.

Unlike standard designs where frequent starts cause rapid heat buildup and thermal shutdown, DCL actuators feature proprietary high-torque motors optimized for thermal efficiency. By minimizing starting current impact, we ensure stable operation without triggering overheat protectors or compromising shell temperature. Our actuators achieve an industry-leading 1,200 starts per hour, providing the reliability needed for the most demanding control loops. Rigorously tested and certified by CSA to meet both UL and CSA standards.
