Explosion proof fail safe electric actuator with small package / installation at any angle

The DCL-Ex Series features advanced, fail-safe, explosion-proof actuators engineered for critical emergency response in hazardous environments. Upon the restoration of backup power following an emergency shutdown, the intelligent fail-safe system automatically drives the valve to a pre-set safety position—either fully open or fully closed—even in the complete absence of external control signals. Additionally, a robust self-locking mechanism prevents hunting and drift, ensuring the valve remains securely locked in place under load. Designed for compatibility with over 90% of explosive gas environments (excluding underground mining), these actuators boast a highly reliable, field-proven track record, with over 10,000 units operating safely in extreme conditions for more than a decade. To guarantee global safety and operational compliance, the DCL-Ex Series is fully CSA-certified (meeting UL/CSA Zone and Division system standards), ATEX certified, and independently verified by SGS for both CE and RoHS 3 compliance.
