The hydroturbine top cover is one of the most critical heavy structural components of the turbine guide vane mechanism. It serves as the primary support framework for the guide vane shaft, lever linkage, guide bearing assembly, main shaft seal, and upper labyrinth seal ring. It forms the upper chamber of the runner top space and withstands static and dynamic hydraulic loads, pressure pulsations, and mechanical vibrations during turbine start-stop, load changes, and runaway conditions.
Insufficient rigidity or manufacturing defects in the top cover can lead to flange deformation, seal failure, abnormal vibration in the guide vane transmission system, increased leakage, and even safety hazards for the entire unit.
We provide comprehensive custom manufacturing services for turbine top covers. Products are strictly developed according to customer drawings, unit model, unit output, installation space, transportation limitations, and water medium characteristics. For large installations with transportation constraints, integrated and multi-segment welded structures can be adopted.
