Product Overview

These miniature, shielded interface connectors from the 3500 Series are designed for portable terminal equipment, including hand-held terminals and PDA equipment. They offer excellent insertion/removal durability of 20,000 cycles. Key features include a highly reliable two-contact bellows type contact structure, a snap-lock system that relieves stress during forceful removal, and push-button release for easy operation. The miniature and lightweight design (approx. 2g for a 16-conductor receptacle) contributes to reducing the overall size and weight of terminal equipment. A new box-bending structure for the metal shell provides EMI protection and toughness. ESD protection is offered by the metal shell. The board mounting system utilizes 0.8mm spaced single row SMT for easy mounting on boards ranging from 0.8 to 1.6mm thick. Two plug-side wiring systems are available: pressure welding for labor-saving wiring and solder type for arbitrary cable selection.
