Biodegradation Standards
International Standard EN 13432 is the recognised standard for biodegradable plastics. Products must pass all four phases of testing before they are classified as Biodegradable (compostable). The testing result above shows that all of our material and bags meet all the EN 13432 standards:
1. Our bag volatile content, heavy metals meet the specified permissible levels and testing requirements .
2. After a 12 week composting test where 90% of plastic must fragment to ticles less than 2mm.
3. After 6 months biodegradation test where 90% of the plastic must completely mineralized to CO2 and water
4. Toxicity testing using plant seedlings shows that after composting of our bags, no harm residues to the environment and can help the plant grow.
