The GE IS215VPROH2BC is a Turbine Protection Board in the Mark VI Speedtronic control system, critical for gas, steam, and wind turbine safety. As part of a triple-redundant setup, it works with TPRO and TREG terminal boards to deliver independent emergency overspeed protection and emergency stop functions, controlling trip solenoids to halt turbines during critical faults.


This board features a front faceplate with diagnostic LEDs, power/communication ports, and rear stacked boards with components like capacitors, integrated circuits, and heat sinks. It supports nine thermocouples for exhaust over-temperature monitoring and three analog inputs, with isolated backplanes ensuring redundancy. Compatible with simplex/TMR systems, it allows hot-swap replacement without disrupting operation.
