Product Details:


The GE IS420UCSCS2A is a Dual Core Controller Module part of the Mark VIeS Series, designed for GE Distributed Control Systems. As a safety-focused controller, it runs Mark VIeS Safety applications to support functional safety loops, achieving SIL 2 and 3 capabilities critical for risk reduction in safety-instrumented systems (SIS). Compliant with IEC 61508, it operates on the QNX Neutrino real-time OS and supports simplex, dual, and TMR redundancy configurations, making it ideal for wind turbines, gas/steam turbines, and combined-cycle power plants.


Key Features:
Safety & Performance: Dual-core 1.6 GHz AMD G-Series processor, enabling SIL 2/3 compliance for safety-critical loops; supports -8 mV to +45 mV signal span.


Redundancy & Flexibility: Compatible with simplex, dual, and TMR setups; expandable with seven additional I/O ports for versatile connectivity via IONet, PROFINET, and HSSL.


Robust Design: DIN-rail mounted with no batteries, fans, or jumpers; operates in -40 to 70°C, with over-temperature protection (shutdown at 95°C/107°C, auto-reboot or power cycle recovery).


Memory & Power: 2 GB DDR3 SDRAM, 128 GB storage; runs on 18–32 VDC.


Availability: Active life cycle, in-stock, with 3–7 day repair options; U.S.-made, supported by ControlST V07.02 and manual GEI-100867A.
